Thanks for all your lovely messages, chaps. You have cheered me up no end! The GP has decided I had food poisoning as it went on, unabated, for almost 10 days. Really thought I'd never get better - silly old so and so! In the midst of all the rushing back and forwards to the loo, I managed to twist my right leg quite badly, and because I was too ill to go to 'orspital, my lovely GP dashed round, had a good old poke around, and decided I had torn the tendons and ligaments. If there was no improvement over the next couple of days, a "wheeled x-ray machine" would join the commode! However, it is slightly easier. Now on bed rest for at least the next 2 weeks whilst stuff starts to heal. What a performance!! The amazing news is that I have lost over a stone in ten days....can't be bad, can it?!!!!

Hi Jean
Glad things are slightly easier. Talk about every cloud having a silver lining. It's a bit drastic though, eating salad would have been less painful.
Love Sheila x

Hi Jean,
Good to see you posting again I was going to post some glib comment about the silver lining with stomach bugs but thought it probably in bad taste whilst you were still suffering. That must be the quickest weight loss in history and of course you're still on short rations building your strength up so the third stone must be well on its way as well.
It's always the way isn't it? When you're not very well or moving awkwardly, so easy to pull a muscle or something worse, done it myself this week but not so bad to demand bed rest! Really pleased because I'm planning to do something on Monday which my entire healthcare team would thoroughly disapprove of, so I need all my strength. If I manage it then I'll spill the beans with pictures and everything!
Hope your recovery continues at a sprint.
Sara x

That weight loss in amazing! But at least it means your challenge and NRAS have benefited! Shame you had to do it with style though and end up getting injured in the process Do hope things improve quickly and you are soon up and about again Thinking of you, Lyn x
